Class Description
Learn beginner handbuilding with Courtney Hunter from The Waight Ceramics.
In this beginner friendly class, you will learn coil building to create your own vessel inspired by the shapes found in ancient pottery. The atmosphere is laid back and fun, light snacks and wine will be provided. Afterwards your piece is glazed and fired for you and ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks, just in time for those spring blooms you'll need a vase for.
*There will be a 3 week turnaround for the firings and pick up will be at Halite.
Open to ages 16 and over. Space is limited. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
About the teacher
This class is taught by Courtney Hunter, the creator and maker behind the brand The Waight, a Seattle based ceramics company. The Waight is a nod to the slow and methodical process of creating with clay. Join us!

Come shop The Waight in person at UPSTAIRS, a retail space inside the Jamie Slye hat & accessory shop in Downtown Seattle. This is a 6 week pop up with 4 woman owned Seattle businesses. You can shop ceramics, candles, skin care, homewares, hats, and art.
I have personal relationships with and have loved collaborating with each of these women, please take a moment to pop downtown and check out the beautiful holiday shop that we have curated.
