We use a natural mordanting process to coax our dyes to bond with our organic fabrics. This means that no chemicals are involved in bonding the dye to the fabric.

For this reason, the dyes can fade over time. At The Waight we want pieces to last season after season so we have done a lot of research to find dyes that are highly color fast and avoid those that fade after just a few washes.

That being said, some fading can still occur over time which is why we have our Dye Takeback Program

Option 1: If your dye fades and you want us to refresh it, simply mail it back and we will over dye it. The only cost to you is the shipping.

Option 2: If you have purchased the Un-dyed Collection and stain it, we are happy to try to over dye it to give your garment a new life, most likely this would be with a mixed botanical dye which works best to cover any stains. There is a $25 charge for this service.
